Entering the Presidio from downtown or East Bay along Marina Boulevard, going west:

Drive west on Marina Blvd. staying in the right lane, to its end at the Baker St. stop signal, at the Palace of Fine Arts.
Keep to the RIGHT, going straight into the Presidio along Mason St.
Go west on Mason St. about 1.5 miles, past a stop sign.
Continue straight, all the way to the end of the greenbelt.
Turn right at the sign "To West Bluff Picnic Area" and drive toward the Bay about 500 yards.
Our walkway begins at the break in the boulders and is the paved "Authorized Vehicles Only" road.
Turn right down the driveway marked "Authorized Vehicles Only." The driveway ends in a parking lot and we are located in the second large building to your right.
(If you accidentally get onto the freeway approach/Doyle Drive, continue toward the Golden Gate Bridge and take the last SF exit before the toll plaza; then refer to the directions for "Entering the Presidio from 19th Avenue/Park Presidio")

Entering the Presidio from Marin County, going south:

Enter Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza using RIGHT toll booth. Exit immediately (before bus stop).
Make quick RIGHT turn to go under toll plaza and through parking area, bearing right.
At second stop sign turn LEFT on to Lincoln Blvd. Follow it down the hill, past the Fort Point entrance and under the freeway underpass.
Left on Cowles St. (between two trees with white-banded trunks), down to stop sign at McDowell. Turn LEFT on McDowell.
At the Crissy Field Ave. stop sign turn LEFT. This takes you under the overpass, and by the pet cemetery on your left.
At the stop turn RIGHT, and make immediate LEFT at the first warehouse, and drive toward the Bay about 500 yards.

Entering Presidio from 19th Avenue/Park Presidio, going north:

RIGHT at the last San Francisco Exit before the Golden Gate Bridge toll booth. (A sign directs you to the Presidio/Golden Gate National Recreation Area)
Stay to the RIGHT. This will take you to Lincoln Blvd.
At second stop sign turn LEFT on to Lincoln Blvd. Follow it down the hill, past the Fort Point entrance and under the freeway underpass.
