Monitoring Handbooks

The education staff is available to help San Francisco Bay Area educators set up and run monitoring programs at their high schools. Handbooks describe the monitoring habitat and sampling protocol, and provide data sheets and data analysis methods. Click here to read more and download PDFs.

Materials & Resources

The Association publishes a range of materials on Sanctuary topics for use by educators and students. Please download PDF copies of the following (you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader), or download a packet request form and mail it to us (link to address on Contact Us page). Also available is a two page document listing the Sanctuary Education Programs and Resources.

Educational Curricula

Coastal Ecosystem Curriculum (grades 9-12): The Association has developed a seven-unit Coastal Ecosystem Curriculum that focuses on the open water and sandy beach habitats in the Gulf of the Farallones. Learn how to use this curriculum at our teacher workshop. (Click the title to download the PDF)
